3rd Shift Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This position is for a Maintenance Technician in a high-speed manufacturing facility. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all production equipment. The role involves handling equipment where products are extruded, injected with chemicals, heated, and processed through various stages before being stacked and palletized by robotic arms. Work orders will be distributed daily, and responses will be communicated via radio.
Responsibilities
Repair and maintain electrical systems for all production equipment.
Modify new and existing equipment for performance improvements and upgrades.
Work with 110, 220, and 440 volt systems, AC/DC Drives, and high and low voltage controls.
Troubleshoot electrical problems to the component level.
Monitor gauges and pressures from the chemical process to ensure accurate flow.
Fix conveyors, rollers, and other mechanical parts.
Handle equipment driven by pneumatics and some hydraulics.
Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair, including gear replacements and adjustments.
Read and use blueprints and electrical schematics daily.
Replace and/or repair various motors including AC/DC and single and three-phase motors.
Perform preventive maintenance on all machines and equipment.
Conduct full tear-downs and rebuilds of equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair both pneumatics and hydraulics.
Troubleshoot PLCs without programming.
Essential Skills
Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
Consistent work history.
Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams.
Experience with troubleshooting electrical issues up to 480V.
Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs (Allen Bradley).
Experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics.
