3rd Shift Entry Level Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This position is for a Maintenance Technician within a food processing company where they have high speed packaging equipment, sizing equipment, hopping, splitting, and other shaping equipment for chicken, both frozen, chilled, or partially fried. Employees will be responsible for both preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/repairing. The role will involve working both mechanically and electrically, including tasks with electrical panels and up to 480v. The breakdown of mechanical to electrical tasks is approximately 70-30% of the time.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of maintenance and keeping the facility running for production.
Work under GMP’s and ensure that all health and safety standards are met.
Experience in working with high speed packaging equipment and problem-solving any issues.
Required to work safely with 480v and other electrical issues that arise.
Follow the preventative maintenance plan as directed by the manager.
Essential Skills
Attended a Trade School, learning industrial electric (Coyne College is strongly preferred).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints along with schematics.
Able to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems through a written test.
Own a basic set of tools (if they are entry-level, not necessarily required).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or Technical School preferred but not required.
Experience with 480v, 3 Phase, Troubleshooting, Preventative Maintenance, and Maintenance Technician tasks.
Knowledge of High Speed Packaging, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical, and Schematic reading.
