Robert Half Accounting Manager in Franklin Park, Illinois

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the construction industrY. The role primarily involves managing financial aspects, ensuring compliance with accounting procedures, and handling both accounts payable and receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing accounts payable, including the processing of invoices and verification of W-9s for new vendors.

• Monitoring accounts receivable, managing collections, and processing customer invoices daily.

• Managing cash flow, including cash reconciliation and ensuring accurate cash flow for projects.

• Handling job costing by tracking and analyzing project costs, such as labor, materials, and overhead.

• Ensuring compliance by overseeing lien waivers and certificates of insurance to meet legal and contractual requirements.

• Preparing monthly reports on accounts payable and receivable, and progress billings for clients.

• Setting up new customer accounts, running credit reports, and assembling required documents.

• Utilizing tools such as Construction Accounting, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Lien Waivers, Certified Payroll, and Job Cost for various task.

Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience as an Accounting Manager/Supervisor

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation

• Experience in Construction Accounting is essential

• Knowledge in handling Lien Waivers and Certified Payroll

• Familiarity with Job Cost estimation and management

• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification is preferred

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ethical conduct and integrity in professional matters.
