Our Franklin Residential Program is looking to hire a part-time Residential Medical Assistant to assist our Residential Program Nurse. Our staff is a caring and closely knit group. Please consider joining our team!
QUALIFICATIONS-Residential Medical Assistant
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Certified Medical Assistant.
- Working knowledge of computer database and word processing software systems required.
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills required.
- Excellent communication (verbal/written) and organization skills required.
- Current US driver's license with acceptable driving record obtained through the Office of Motor Vehicles.
- Acceptable Criminal Record Check required.
Passing of physical examination and TB required.
JOB SUMMARY-Residential Medical Assistant
The Residential Medical Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Residential Program Nurse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES-Residential Medical Assistant
- Provide medical administrative support to the Residential Program Nurse. Duties include photocopying and/or scanning medical information, filing, phone calls and faxing, ordering medical supplies, and maintaining a medical supply inventory, etc.
- Prepare annual binders.
- Complete monthly cycle fill -- check inventory of delivered medications for accuracy, deliver to the group homes.
- Check for expired medications in the group homes. Pick up unused or expired medications and process to destroy.
Monitor PRN medication for expirations dates and order refills when needed.
HOURS-The Residential Medical Assistant is a part-time position M-F, daylight, 25 hours per week. The hourly rate is $17.00.
