Description:
The role of a Plant Maintenance technician is to participate in the Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) for all equipment and facilities.
The main missions of the role are to:
? Install, repair and maintain all equipment
? Maintain Facilities equipment as required
? Analyse mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections to maintain maximum production and quality
? Propose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvement actions for all facilities and processes for efficiency
? Keep up to date documentation related to maintenance / completion of PM's
? Continuously improving knowledge base
? Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policy
? Adheres to all work rules and procedures
? Adheres to the Code of Ethics
? Adheres to the Code of Management
Additional reponsibilities include:
? Actively particpate in work teams
? Implement at least six improvement idea per month
? Other duties as requested
Job Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:
? Technical dipolima and/or journey man card or 5 years minimum experience
? Adjustment of robot programs as required / Training provided
? Perform tasks of substantial variety/complexity
? Strong Electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skill set
? Hydraulic and Pneumatic troubelshooting required
? Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety and Environmental systems
? Strong technical problem solving skills
? Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
? Satisfactory company work record, including attendance
? Successful completion of Faurecia's in-house training programs
? Ability to follow instruction verbal and written - good math, language and reading skills required
? Good communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate with employees of all levels
? Forklift/Sissor/Boom cerfication -- successful completion of Franklin certification trainings
? Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and in a positive manner
? Valid drivers' license
Physical Requirements:
? Job involves lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, exerts 25 to 100 pounds of force occasionally to move objects
? Requires pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, gripping and bending
? High mental and visual effort required
? Able and willing to work overtime as required. Flexibility to help on other shifts when needed
Safety / Hazards:
? Steel toed shoes required in production area at all times due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts and product
? ANSI Z87.1 standard safety glasses required in production area due to dust, oils and debris
