MACON COUNTY Convenience Recycle Center Attendant in FRANKLIN, North Carolina
POSITION: Recycling Center Attendant DEPARTMENT: Solid Waste Management Grade: 17 PAY: $11.5875/hour This position also qualifies for Recruitment and Retention Pay of an additional $2.00 for actual regular hours worked through October 20, 2024 or a maximum of $14,000.00, whichever comes first. The Recruitment and Retention pay is received on six month intervals ending in April and October.**
This is ongoing recruitment. Applications are picked up by the Employer as needed.
- Sort materials, such as metals, glass, wood, paper or plastics, into appropriate containers for recycling.
- Clean recycling yard by sweeping, raking, picking up broken glass and loose paper debris or moving barrels and bins.
- Must be able to assist Customers with disposal.
- Requires some lifting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling and stooping.
