CNC Machine Operator
- Salary based on experience
- Full and Part Time available
Job Overview: Daily tasks include: Departmental standard work to include: * Keeping work area clean and safe, following safety procedures for the area * Schedule management * Inventory of critical tools and materials Participation in daily production meetings and continuous improvement activities Cross-training and assisting in other areas as needed
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Cleaning machine, tooling and parts
- Keeping work area clean and safe, following safety procedures to the area
- Reading and interpreting prints, planning sheets, sketches and other related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings and machining methods
- Entering commands or manually adjusting machine controls to correct malfunctions or out of tolerance machining
- Stopping machine to change cutting tools in machine spindles
- Setting up machines or machining centers to perform various machine functions such as: cutting, drilling, and milling metal parts, utilizing knowledge of machine tool capabilities, machine ability of materials and shop math.
- Transferring programs to machine
- Mounting, aligning and securing tooling attachments and parts on machine
- Calculating and setting machine controls to position spindle in relationship to part and regulating factors such as cutting depth, speed, and feed
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
- CNCMachine operations exp,
- Demonstrated use of measuring equipment and tools
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to learn new skills
- Problem solver
- Team player
