Description
Are you an experienced accountant with a keen eye for accuracy? Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant within the Automotive Manufacturing industry based in the Franklin, Kentucky area. This exciting temporary to hire opportunity is set in an engaging work place where hard work is rewarded. The Staff Accountant plays a major role in the preparation of monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. Be prepared to dedicate a fair amount of time to producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. And during the monthly close, your responsibilities will also cover various aspects of internal reporting. You'll also review schedules for the reporting processes, stay in touch with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and play an active role in compliance.
Your responsibilities in this role
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner
Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP
Execute month end close, journal entries, with little supervision
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations
Requirements
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Demonstrated knowledge of Profit and loss
Practical knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Month end closings experience
Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience highly desired
General familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)
Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience
SAP experience desired
Adeptness in Balance Sheets
Balance Sheet Account experience
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Recent and relevant accounting experience
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
