Advantage Resourcing Purchasing Assistant in Franklin, Kentucky


Advantage Resourcing is seeking a dedicated Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Franklin, KY, supporting a local automotive manufacturer. We offer competitive pay at $20/hr with regular hours from 8 am to 5 pm, along with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay, access to a supportive local team, employee discounts, referral bonuses, and options for medical, dental, vision, and 401K plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and maintain data to support the Purchasing Department's objectives, using charts, graphs, spreadsheets, and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in the XA purchasing software system.
  • Enter, transmit, and confirm purchase orders.
  • Contact suppliers as directed by management to collect survey data or communicate Purchasing initiatives.
  • Manage departmental filing systems and act as a primary point of contact for the Purchasing Department.
  • Maintain a schedule of key deadlines and support event planning as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent minimum; technical school or college training in office technologies or office administration preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; intermediate proficiency in Excel including data manipulation and chart/graph creation.
  • Typing speed of minimum 60 WPM with no errors.
  • Ability to construct business communications using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Good job history; recent college graduates with relevant training are encouraged to apply.
