In Microsoft Services, our Technical Consultants work directly with customers to build, deploy, operate and optimize complex enterprise environments. They don´t only make technology happen, they bring the passion, heart and soul of Microsoft to our customers to help them realize the “what could be” in their organizations. This means directly impacting customer satisfaction and helping us build and grow partnerships. They also have impact inside of Microsoft and influence the future of our products. They bring the voice of the customer to our Product Teams to help developers make great decisions about our Microsoft product Roadmaps.

As a Technical Consultant, you get to be a key technical resource for the customer, focused on delivering proactive services such as education workshops, delivering assessments and providing expert guidance. Since you’ll be working with Microsoft Premier Support to expedite incident resolution, you’ll need to have an inquisitive mind and solid troubleshooting skills. Plus we’ll mix things up for you by offering a variety of customer engagements - some long-term, some short-term - and lots of opportunities to learn new stuff.

Technical Requirements Technical Consultant Security or Identity

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience combined with a relevant industry experience in a consulting role

  • 3+ years’ experience in systems development, network operations, software support, IT consulting

  • Ability to work independently cross collaboration working in a fast-paced environment where technology and customers' requirements can change regularly

  • Understanding of Microsoft’s Modern IT Architecture and Strategy

  • Fluency in German Language is a must have requirement

  • Identity related requirements:

  • Experience in designing and implementing Active Directory and Azure Active Directory

  • Experience in integrating on-premises Active Directory with Azure AD (using eg Azure AD Connect, Active Directory Federation Services)

  • Envision and deploy modern identity solutions (eg Azure AD MFA, Azure AD Conditional Access, Azure AD Privileged Identity Management, Azure AD B2B, Azure AD Application Proxy)

  • Knowledge related to Microsoft Office 365 would be ideal but not required

  • Security related requirements:

  • Experience in securing Microsoft Client/Server Operating Systems including related services (eg Certificate Authority, authentication/authorization mechanisms, encryption, health attestation)

  • Knowledge related to Microsoft security recommendations (eg Securing Privileged Access, Credential Theft Mitigations)

  • Basic understanding of Azure Security Services (eg Azure Advanced Threat Protection, Azure Information Protection, Azure Security Center, Azure Log Analytics)

  • Knowledge of common attack vectors and tools (eg Pass the Hash, Golden Ticket, ransomware)
