SUMMARY
To maintain health and safety and compliance with our childcare and Head Start program as it comes to the buildings and outside areas.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain compliance with EEC and Head Start regulations as it comes to the safety and security of the building and outside areas
Ongoing-daily Walk the premises each day inside and out for safety and cleanliness issues, pick up trash, replace ceiling tiles, replace bulbs, clean hallways, mop the gym, vacuum the indoor field, blow leaves off the outdoor field, etc.
Snow shoveling and blowing as needed, rock salt all areas throughout the day- communicate with Maintenance
Landscaping all around property
Painting as needed
Playground checks for trash and safety
Clean parking lot and exterior of building
Maintain health and safety standards in classrooms and in the buildings.
Support cleaners in both 10 and 12 Roxanna, as needed
Key fobs for staff
Liaison between our program and maintenance as needed
Meet vendors and support their needs when in the building
Make sure Community Center is ready for any events and cleaned up once done
Help to be sure others are not parking in our lots or dumping in our dumpsters
Ensure that there is nobody entering the building does not belong there
Parking lot safety
Help teachers with any classroom needs
Complete daily/weekly list and add to it as needed
Check emergency EXIT lights all around both 10 and 12 Roxanna buildings
Check for running toilets, leaks, etc.
Turf- inside be sure that there are no strings, etc.
Be sure hallways on both sides of the fields are clear emergency exits
Be sure nothing kept in electrical closets.
Organize and maintain tools, supplies, in a safe and orderly fashion
Ensure cleanliness of the outside bathroom
Help with our bus maintenance- maintain fluids, light bulbs, taping seats, etc.

Read and write in English
Ability to work alone (following a list) and with others as needed

Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Background check including Federal and State, DCF, SOR, fingerprinting
Strongly encourage COVID 19 vaccine.

WORKING CONDITION
As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Operation Program Support person will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. A successful background check is required.

30 - 40 hours a week
