DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will be tasked with transporting freight and supervising inmate workers as they perform their work assignments for the DOC Correctional Industries' laundry operation. You will conduct orientation sessions for inmate workers, covering facility and plant regulations, job expectations, and safety procedures. Your responsibilities will include training and monitoring inmate workers in efficient trailer loading and unloading. Additionally, you will prepare regular reports detailing inmate attendance, lost hours, and bonuses. Operating tractor-trailers, trucks, and other vehicles will be essential to fulfilling daily tasks, along with conducting routine vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and minor equipment repairs. This position requires the ability to perform tasks independently, without direct supervision.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,986.00 (before taxes). QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience in the operation of tractor-trailer trucks; or A combination of experience and training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirement:

You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class A Commercial Driver's License.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
