DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Corrections Activities Specialist, you will be responsible for organizing, instructing and supervising inmate programs, leisure time activities, inmate work crews and sports within the institution.

You will schedule, coordinate, and teach programs at all levels of interest and ability in the areas of sports, games, creative and performing arts, and social recreation. You will coach or assist in the coaching of various sports, such as basketball, soccer, and power lifting, and demonstrate basic sports techniques and fitness equipment. You will also supervise inmate organizations and self help groups.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Tuesday - Saturday with 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
