Total Security Solutions Construction Field Supervisor in Fowlerville, Michigan
Summary:
This Construction Field Supervisor is primarily responsible for overseeing all field operations including site measurement, construction, customer service and quality craftsmanship. This position requires a high amount of travel (up to 80%).
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for being the Install Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Lead training and development of field installers and measure technicians.
Travels to job sites and conducts pre and post inspections as needed.
Troubleshoots job site issues and develops corrective actions.
Leads pre-install meetings to ensure successful completion of field work.
Develops, implements and tracks on-site quality control best practices for field support personnel.
Serves as the primary back up to lead the install department in the absence of the Installation Manager.
This position requires a high amount of travel (up to 80%).
Primary lead on repairs caused by the install team.
Organize and audit truck maintenance.
Maintain, organize, and file project and job paperwork.
Communicate tracking information for shipped jobs to customers.
Assist with equipment rentals.
Manage subcontractors
Review schedules, work orders and invoices.
Review Installation reports and resolve any issues.
Customer Service
Fastpass administration
Responsible for managing installation trucks
Competencies:
Communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization, using verbal and written distribution channels.
Excellent ability to train, mentor and evaluate construction trades personnel.
Advanced knowledge in construction trades including rough and finished carpentry, masonry and some electrical.
Adjusts promptly and calmly to change, works well as part of a team, and remains calm under pressure. Maintains a collaborative work ethic and commitment to excellence in dealing with internal and external customers.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years’ of job site construction management.
Able to field questions and phone calls outside of normal business hours
Construction experience helpful but not required.
Excellent interpersonal, time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal communication and phone skills.
Detail-oriented and able to focus on multiple tasks at one time.
Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems.
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
Able to read maps and calculate drive time.
Physical Requirements:
Communicate with others and exchange accurate information.
Operate a computer and other office machinery or equipment.
Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets or office machinery.
Work Environment:
This job takes place in a professional office environment and routinely travels to active construction sites. Employees are required to wear proper personal protective equipment when working in the field.
