Trius Trucking Inc OTR Truck Driver in Fowler, California

Trius Trucking Inc. Randeep Dhillon Operations Manager Phone: (559) 834-4000

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced long-haul truck driver to facilitate the transportation of goods across the nation. As a long-haul driver, the chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely deliveries, preserving cargo integrity, and adhering to stringent safety protocols. We require individuals with exceptional time management, organizational acumen, and a steadfast commitment to upholding company standards. This position is temporary in nature, with a projected commencement date around September 1, 2024, extending until July 1, 2025, contingent upon market demands. While formal educational qualifications are not mandated, candidates should possess a minimum of one year of driving experience within the United States.

All long-haul drivers share uniform responsibilities, operating sleeper cab-equipped trucks across all 48 contiguous states for cargo delivery purposes. Although our operational headquarters are situated in Fowler, CA, drivers will traverse nationwide, with workdays varying in location. It is essential to note that the nature of the long-haul position does not involve fixed work locations; drivers return to our base solely for training, vehicle maintenance, or mandated rest periods.

Shift scheduling is contingent upon delivery requirements, with no fixed start or end times. Each driver must commence their shift only after completing a minimum of 10 hours of rest, with a maximum of 11 hours of driving within a 14-hour shift, inclusive of a mandatory 30-minute break after the fifth hour of driving. In the event of vehicle breakdowns rendering assigned trucks unfit for use, accommodations such as hotel stays will be provided until the vehicle is operational.

Compensation for this position varies based on experience, ranging from 48 to 50 cents per mile. Remuneration is calculated on a per-mile basis, with no provision for overtime pay.

Selected candidates will undergo comprehensive training at our Fowler, CA office, covering regulatory compliance, electronic logging procedures, and the utilization of proprietary software for load management. Biweekly payments are scheduled for the 7th and 21st of each month, with earnings accrued during the 1st to 15th disbursed on the 21st, and earnings from the 16th to the end of the month paid on the 7th of the following month.

Accommodations for rest periods will be provided within designated trucks. Should immediate truck availability be unavailable upon arrival at our premises, lodging arrangements will be made. Similarly, extended vehicle maintenance necessitating overnight stays will be accommodated. While assistance in locating housing may be provided upon request, the company does not assume financial responsibility for such accommodations.

Should drivers require ancillary support such as transportation services or ride-sharing platforms, the company will cover these expenses, offsetting them from the drivers' remuneration. Reimbursement for pre-approved transportation expenses incurred to reach Fowler, CA for orientation or duty commencement will be facilitated. However, personal travel expenses will not be reimbursed. Trius Trucking Inc. will arrange and cover expenses for work-related transportation or tests. Additionally, all necessary tools or equipment for task execution will be provided.

For H-2B workers during their initial week, arrangements may be made to cover visa processing fees and related expenses, excluding passport costs or expenses primarily benefiting the worker.

Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications and resumes to the nearest office of the State Workforce Agency (SWA) in the state where the job advertisement was viewed.
