Job Purpose/Overview

We are looking for a high performing, results oriented individual to join our Strategic Finance team. The primary role of the Senior Financial Analyst is to build and maintain financial models and reporting that support the organization’s weekly reporting and long-term growth needs. Successful candidates are proficient in excel and should be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Scrappiness is a must, as is the ability to dive deep into the data to help the business achieve results.

Reporting: Develop, standardize, and automate FP&A reports, metrics, and dashboards for monthly/quarterly management reporting

Forecasting: Improve forecast accuracy and visibility by helping to create a data driven, driver based full three statement financial model that is built with robust revenue, expense and cash flow forecast assumptions

Budgeting: Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and the implementation of rolling forecasting for the purposes of providing visibility into the business and establishing financial guidance targets

Support strategic decision-making: Drive financial results by improving gross margins within depth analysis of Revenue and COGS drivers through coordinating with key stakeholders.

Perform additional ad-hoc analysis to support growth strategies.

Results Oriented: Perform quantitative deep dives to get to the core of the issue.

Excel Proficient: High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis.

Financial processes: Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, automate and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes, and methodologies as the business grows

Education and Experience

5+ years of experience in retail/cpg FP&A, strategic finance/FP&A. Preferable experience in a high growth environment

Experience in e-commerce and marketplace

Extensive experience in Excel (e.g. index, offset, arrays, etc) & Powerpoint, prior experience with financial planning tools (e.g Netsuite, Anaplan, Adaptive). Data visualization tools (e.g Looker, Tableau, chart.io) a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent analytical, modeling and communication skills, in-depth experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts;

Genuine excitement for developing and analyzing large, complex data sets and converting them into actionable insights;

Highly organized and detail-oriented individual who has the ability to multitask; an independent / flexible problem solver who thrives with ambiguity while maintaining strong attention to detail and speed;

Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, often changing environment;

Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. A good listener with outstanding influencing qualities and a natural, effective consultative style;

Someone who has demonstrated prowess in financial and strategic planning, including core competencies in budgeting and reporting, financial modeling and analysis

The desired salary range for this role is between $88,000-$120,000.
