We are seeking a highly motivated leader to join Kite’s US Health Systems team as the Senior Director of US Health Systems Insights & Analytics. The Senior Director is responsible for delivering accurate and timely market insights, performance tracking, forecasting, and actionable business analytics to Kite’s US Health Systems team. The Senior Director manages a cross-functional team, acts as strategic thought partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to the identification and evaluation of US Health Systems strategies and tactics and advises the Vice President of US Health Systems to enable data-driven decision making. Reporting to the Executive Director of US Commercial Insights, Analytics and Operations (CIAO) and internally known as a Senior Director of Marketing Sciences, the Senior Director will use a broad and deep skill set (functional expertise, therapeutic area knowledge, communication skills, leadership and influencing, and executive presence, to name a few) to help facilitate positive results whilst partnering with various key stakeholders (senior and executive) in this highly visible opportunity.

To develop and foster meaningful connections with stakeholders, we would prefer that this opportunity be located at either Kite’s Santa Monica, California headquarters or our Foster City, CA office (3 days per week onsite required) and will provide a generous relocation package as eligible.

Responsibilities of the Senior Director of US Health Systems Insights & Analytics include:

  • Utilize market research, secondary data, and analytics to provide data inspired insights to support the organization's understanding on the trends, insights and market landscape of payers and large organizedcustomers’ utilization of CAR-T and to use analytics/insights to helpadvise on the Health System team’s strategy and opportunities.

  • Support the development of account planning resources, insights and metrics for customer facing teams calling on payers, hospital administrators and other stakeholders who impact the adoption of CAR-T.

  • In partnership with Health System’s team, facilitate using data/analytics/insights to shape the understanding of market access policies and healthcare system barriers that impact the CAR-T patient journey, and enable prioritization of strategies to increase patient access to CAR-T.

  • Lead the assessment of marketplace opportunity and sizing, developing thoughtful insights to support authorized treatment center expansion strategies.

  • Lead the prioritization and operationalization of performance reporting and diagnostics, including design and implementation of HQ-facing dashboards and reports, including post-initiative results tracking, alignment on Health Systems KPIs and establish standards to regularly track, monitor, and report.

  • Develop presentations with clear storylines, grounded in data and holistic business concepts to deliver clear conclusions and recommendations.

  • Ensure the development and delivery of analytical resources to support all customer-facing roles in US Health Systems including direction of incentive compensation, optimization of CRM and account planning resource requirements, and prioritization of secondary data requirements.

  • Partner closely with the US Health Systems team to establish priorities and shared accountabilities, align on key business questions and be integrated in the mission.

  • Collaborate effectively across US Health Systems, US Commercial Operations, US Marketing, and Global Data & Digital Innovation teams to deliver timely, actionable data driven Health Systems insights.

  • Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement across the team.

  • Mentor, guide, and support team members in their professional development, ensuring all team members have actionable development plans and are regularly making progress towards achieving development goals.

  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities of the US-HSIA team in alignment with key partners including Health Systems, Marketing, Sales, and Commercial Operations.

  • Role model and cultivate a culture of matrixed teamwork and collaboration to enhance direct report’s ability to influence without authority.

  • Nurture a culture of operational excellence within the team including project management, budget tracking, prioritization, and communication.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate and 10+ of experience

OR

Master’s and 12+ years of experience

OR

Bachelor’s and 14+ years of experience

OR

Associate and 16+ years of experience

OR

High School Diploma/GED and 18+ years experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in oncology, gene therapy, and/or rare disease.

  • Deep knowledge of market access field strategy and/or operations.

  • Excellent experience managing high performing insights and analytics teams.

  • Deep understanding of biotech / pharma market access trends and best practices to enable strategic account planning and execution.

  • Demonstrated passion for attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional talent.

  • Exceptional executive communication skills, with demonstrated ability to distill complex data and insights into executive level strategic implications.

  • Deep team and project leadership experience (interaction with cross-functional partners, conflict resolution, and decision-making) and project management experience (planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management, and plan execution).

The salary range for this position is: $232,220.00 - $300,520.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
