Lockheed Martin Systems Engineer Mgr in Fort Worth, Texas
Description: This is a L-code is responsible for the Ground Systems (GS) Mission Planning (MP) team in Fort Worth,Tx. This position is responsible for taking F-35 customer requirements and decomposing to systems and software requirements. The team defines operational objectives, performs mission decomposition, identifies functions/capabilities, develops use cases, performs configuration trades and utilizes modeling base systems engineering (MBSE) tools to capture the end design.
The team is also responsible interface definition and coordinating with external government agencies. This role is the Primary POC for LM MP interactions with customer Requirements, OAG and Warfighter evaluation teams, and Mission Planning working groups for the determination of capabilities, derived requirements, and performance acceptability. Responsibilities also include leading the team that does the coordination & program integration of all Mission Planning capability development.
The focus will include both program execution (cost, schedule and technical performance) as well as functional L-code responsibilities (employee recruitment, labor planning, performance assessments). Supports all development change actions and ensures Engineering and Program Management Process are followed. The L-code should be familiar and promotes agile development, leading change actions and ensures engineering and program management process execution.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Workforce planning, development, and retention
- Personnel performance, compensation and promotion planning
- Oversight of cost, technical, schedule across contracts
- Input and oversight for new business capture contract proposals
- Understanding team performance and motivating quality improvement across contracted efforts
- Interfacing with external Lockheed teams to meet commitments
Candidate must be eligible to obtain Special Access Required (SAR) clearances and must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience leading a team as a L-code or Tech Lead.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of requirements definition, software development, or integration & test processes
- Experience as a technical lead where schedules were created, team members were tasked, and
commitments/deadlines were met.
Desired Skills:
- F-35 ground or avionics systems knowledge
Experienced with Control Account Manager (CAM) processes
- Systems and software engineering experience
- Experience managing complex technical systems and programs
- Experience using Model Base System Engineering tools such as CAMEO
- Knowledge of Agile development process.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
