The Hertz Corporation Sr. Cyber Security Automation Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas
A Day in the Life:
At Hertz, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional systems that improve customer experience we are now looking for an experienced DevSecOps Engineer. They will be responsible for defining, building and maintaining automation and systems for security requirements/capabilities.
The starting salary for this role is $130K; commensurate with experience.
What You'll Do:
Build CI/CD Pipeline capabilities
Build/maintain Kubernetes environments
Build/support Helm packaging templates
Integrating security measures into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure secure coding practices and the early detection of vulnerabilities.
Automating security processes to reduce manual oversight and to streamline security within the development lifecycle.
Conducting regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential threats and to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborating with development and operations teams to create and maintain a secure infrastructure for software deployment.
Follow an Agile methodology using Jira and Confluence
Keeping abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls, and incorporating new security technologies into the organization's practices.
Facilitating communication between security, development, and operations teams to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to security.
Research problems and break them into deliverable parts
Work with a Lean mindset and deliver value quickly
Work in a pair programming environment
Implement the best industry standard practices
Automate the tasks as needed
Developing cloud first, large-scale, public web facing software utilizing the appropriate technology for the task at hand.
Work with senior management to intake new projects
What we're Looking For:
5+ years in software engineering; or a bachelor's in Computer Science or another related field
Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
Experience with cyber security tools such as Wiz, Qualys, Snyk.
Experience with network security in the cloud.
Experience with cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, and OCI
Experience with git and git workflows
Experience in CI/CD principles and Pipeline development (preferably in Jenkins)
Experience deploying to cloud environments
Experience with Kubernetes, both deployment and management (desired)
Experience with dashboard tools, such as Grafana and PowerBI
Strong communication skills
Working knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologies
