Robert Half Senior Engineer, IT Systems in Fort Worth, Texas
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Engineer, IT Systems in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is in the IT industry and the workplace is based in an office setting. The primary function of this job is to utilize a variety of technical skills to maintain and improve IT systems.
Responsibilities include:
• Full stack development, utilizing tools such as React Web Services and Python Fast API.
• Operating in Linux and Windows environments, including shell scripting and PowerShell.
• Utilization and configuration of Puppet and Ansible.
• Working with Cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure.
• Understanding and using common networking protocols such as HTTP, TCP/IP, SSH, FTP, SMTP, DNS, LDAP, among others.
• Establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipeline processes and related automation tooling.
• Engaging in API development, Azure DevOps, yaml pipelines, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and VMware VRA/VRO.
• Writing comprehensive technical documentation and diagrams. Requirements • Demonstrable proficiency in Python, Shell Scripting, and PowerShell
• Robust knowledge of Cloud Technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure
• Experience in managing and maintaining Windows OS and Mac Computers
• Familiarity with Configuration Management practices, preferably using Ansible
• Proficiency in website development and management
• Experience in managing storage systems
• Expertise in API Development, preferably with React
• Familiarity with GitHub for version control
• Understanding of Linux Technologies and VMware
• Experience in managing Firewall systems and Load Balancer
• Knowledge of DNS and IP Protocol
• Proficiency in Diagramming for system design representation
• Knowledge of Laptop Hardware
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) practices
