We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.This position is onsite in Fort Worth, Texas.

Safety Management Data Analyst

Bell headquarters in Fort Worth TX, is seeking a self-motivated aviation safety professional to assist in the development, monitoring, analysis and continuous improvement of our safety performance monitoring and measurements in support of our worldwide Corporate Safety Management System (SMS). This position supports the Safety Management Systems Manager in the execution of the company's Enterprise SMS, and the Bell Flight Safety Data Analyst in the monitoring and analysis of Bell's worldwide fleet of customer aircraft. This will include direct interaction with all facets of the business from supplier to fielded fleet issues and everything in between. This position is directly involved with internal and external customers, world-wide accident investigation bodies and worldwide regulators.

What you'll be doing as a Safety Management Data Analyst

Monitoring external open sources and internal data sources to continually update the Bell Flight Safety Database with current aircraft registrations, flight hours, accidents and incidents.Identify hazards and be able to understand failure distributions and rates to develop conditional probabilities of outcome supported by quantitative and/or qualitative data.Conduct statistical analyses of mishap data to support requirements of internal and external customers.Coordinate with the appropriate Product Support - Customer Support and Services focal for interface, service history data and “view” of the customer.Working with the Safety Management System Manager in the development and maintenance of SMS data, metrics, risk analysis and mitigation, safety assurance, change management, Key Performance Indicator tracking, and the continuous improvement of the SMS.Support the development and decomposition of the Annual Safety Culture Surveys and feedback.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role

Experience with Root Cause, Corrective Action processes.Experience in quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and analysis. E.g. Weibull Analysis or similar.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management experience; Access experience preferred.Demonstrated Communication Skills needed to brief top-level management, customers and/or large groups on an occasional-to-frequent basis.Experience as a helicopter pilot, crew member, or mechanic is a plus.

What you need to be successful

3 years of relevant experience with data capture and analysis for either an aircraft OEM or medium to large aviation operator or equivalent military organization.Bachelor's degree in a technical or science discipline.
