ConGlobal is looking for a Robotics Deployment and Support Engineer to help us scale our technology operations. As an early member of our Advanced Solutions Team, you will be integrally involved with the Deployment and Support of our cutting-edge Robotic Systems. The Robotics Deployment and Support Engineer will serve our internal and external customers by installing, commissioning, and supporting our Robotic Systems. You will work closely with our internal teams, customers, and partners solving issues, providing critical insight, collecting data, and driving utilization of the systems to achieve established KPI’s.

Responsibilities

  • Install, Deploy, and Commission new automated systems, working closely with site personnel.

  • This unique role includes a mix of technical problem-solving and operations execution responsibilities, resulting in tangible and fulfilling results.

  • Record data as required by development engineers to drive issue resolution.

  • Conduct research and studies on site.

  • Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of onsite Technology equipment.

  • Draft and submit internal and customer-facing reports.

  • Assist in testing new hardware and software features.

  • Diagnose software, electrical, electronic, computer and hardware problems and track quality occurrences.

  • Resolve malfunctions or other issues when they arise.

  • Conduct repairs and technical improvements.

  • Inspect and test systems and vehicles for safety.

  • Manage field activities and implement engineering changes.

  • Actively participate in deployment planning sessions with the Advanced Solutions Team.

  • You are heavily involved in ongoing support, and you represent our customer internally.

  • Communicate with clients to determine needs and explain complex issues.

  • Collaborate with internal sales and engineering teams to maximize our provided value to our customers.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience deploying, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing equipment and systems.

  • Experience with one of C/C++, Python, or JavaScript, knowledge and familiarization with Linux command prompt and scripting

  • Windows and Linux experience required - Ubuntu preferred.

  • Experience reading electrical schematics.

  • Prior experience deploying autonomous vehicles or robots. (Preferred, not required)

  • Well-versed in technical aspects of software, electrical, electronic, computer and hardware systems.

  • Understanding of networking activities and protocols

  • Understanding and adherence of safety guidelines.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Outstanding communication skills.

  • An analytical mind and strong problem-solving ability.

  • Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends.

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field experience (minimum 2 years)

  • Willingness and ability to travel 25% to 75% of time within North and Central America.

  • Must live in greater Detroit, MI OR Fort Worth, TX area (work from home, except travel)
