Bureau of Engraving and Printing Product Accountability Analyst in Fort Worth, Texas

Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Office of Compliance. As a Product Accountability Analyst, you will serve under the Compliance Division (CD) Western Currency Facility. . Responsibilities The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Review product control systems in accordance with standards established by the U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO), and assess adequacy of internal controls in ensuring compliance with the control standards established by the Department of the Treasury (DOT), Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and GAO. Evaluate the operational effectiveness of the product control systems and their compatibility with existing and proposed computer applications, and identifies need for refinement, modification, or redesign of systems and the improvement in such systems and their computer applications for senior managers. Plan, conduct and lead reviews and assessments of control systems to ensure compliance with Office and Division objectives and policies, program conformity and the maintenance of required documentation of program activities. Provide guidance and assistance to program managers concerning control activities. Initiate actions related to the implementation of changes in internal control procedures and systems that are adopted by BEP. For the GS-07 specialized experience is one year (52 weeks) of experience at the GS-05 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: -Assisting with gathering information about the mission, function, and work procedures of the organization; AND -Locating and choosing the appropriate guidelines and procedures for application to specific cases; AND -Carrying out assignments independently OR 1 full year of graduate level education OR superior academic achievement. For the GS-05, you must have three years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-04) or equivalent. General experience may have included performing structured work assignments of limited difficulty combined with training that familiarizes the employee with functions and operations of the organization. OR a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-7, you must have been at the GS-5 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-5, you must have been at the GS-3 level for 52 weeks Education The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the OPM instructions. The facility typically shuts down annually between Christmas and New Year's Day. As such, all BEP employees must take leave for work days during the shutdown period.
