Lockheed Martin Flight Test Project Engineer – Level 4 in Fort Worth, Texas

Lockheed Martin is seeking a flight test project engineer that will be the primary contact with the F-16 USG Flight Test Managers and LM Aero programs to coordinate planning for flight test efforts and to report flight test status. They will manage the planning, preparation, and test reporting of flight vehicle ground and flight tests to include: top level flight test program planning, instrumentation requirements definition, and data processing needs, as required, to determine flight test vehicle compliance with specification and operational suitability. They will be responsible for on-time delivery of flight test deliverables to include test plans and T-2 flight test modification documents. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, scheduling, and delivery of government-furnished equipment required to accomplish verification and validation in support of avionics, flight sciences, and weapon system flight test integration activities. Manages flight test requirements development and definition, and identifies and mitigates program safety, security, schedule and cost risks. This position will require the candidate to interface locally with LM Aero program leadership, flight line & quality assurance leadership in addition to USG leadership at the F-16 SPO, DCMA and government test installations. The selected candidate will be required to serve as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) for their assigned portfolio and to help the CAMs within the Test & Evaluation organization effectively manage their assigned contract earned value.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college.

• Experience with logistics and supply chain management processes.

• Must have experience with USG contracts and CAM processes and procedures.

Desired Skills:

Experience and understanding of flight operations, maintenance, configuration management, aircraft modification, avionics flight test, flight sciences flight test, instrumentation and data processing.

Knowledge of the aircraft flight test modification process (commonly referred to as Type 2 (T-2) modification documentation process).

Proven organizational, communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
