Overview and Essential Functions

Looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Then you may have found your next career move. We’re looking for a Warehouse Driver to join our team and help connect America. T his position shall perform tasks associated with the construction/upgrade of cable television or telephone systems. This position assists in the management of warehouse services including inventories of equipment/materials, receiving and delivery procedures, fixed asset management and small tool distribution.

If you are interested in being a Warehouse Driver, here are some of our requirements for this position:

• Receive, inspect, store, and secure all supplies and materials when delivered.

• Use a stock issue control system that will account for and track all materials used in construction.

• Able to load and unload trucks using a forklift.

• Ability to drive a company truck in a proper manner to pick of material and properly secure load for travel.

• Maintain all received inventory in an organized and efficient manner.

• Maintain a “shelf stock” of parts, tools, and any other job required supplies.

• Conduct a complete physical inventory each month that will account for all materials stored, received, and issued from the warehouse and yard.

• Maintain material usage logs/spreadsheets to comply with our customer’s usage and tracking systems.

• Assist in the management, maintenance, and upkeep of fleet tools and equipment assigned to the project.

• Perform assigned tasks as related to specific functions that may include any combination of general clerical duties, tasks, or special projects as required or assigned (i.e. answering phones, filing, data entry, making copies, etc.)

• Must have and maintain a CDL Class “B” driver’s license, CDL Class “A” driver’s license is preferred.

• Basic daily maintenance of Company vehicle including fluids check, cleanliness, and vehicle organization.

Qualifications

Who we are looking for…

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have or be willing to obtain a commercial class driver’s license if required for the position, CDL Class “A” preferred.

• Forklift and pallet jack operation is a plus.

• Be detail oriented with focus on accuracy.

• Capable of working in all temperatures, climates, and weather conditions

• Must be willing to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary.

• Able to perform the essential functions required in this position for the entire assigned shift.

• Standing - 6 to 8 hours daily

• Walking - 6 to 8 hours daily

• Climbing - 1 to 2 hours daily

• Bending/Twisting - 3 to 4 hours daily

• Pushing/Pulling - 1 to 2 hours daily

• Repetitive Motion (grasping, manipulation) - 1 to 2 hours daily

• Lifting (weights up to 100lbs.) - rarely

• Lift & Carry (weights of 50 to 60 lbs.), regularly / daily

• Must be able to pass background and drug screen.

The pay range is commensurate with experience: $17.00/hour to $19.00/hour.

Applicants are required to pass all company drug testing, submit to a background check and adhere to all OSHA, state, city/municipality safety requirements and training provided by the company as required.
