TheSuperintendentworks as part of a Construction Services team managing the field operations for single or multiple projects. The Superintendent acts in a supervisory role overseeing the work of contractors, and vendors on project that are managed by Sevan Multi-Site Solutions.
Required 50%-80% travel throughout the US.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises and is responsible for all on jobsite activities including safety, schedule, cost, and quality.
Travel required. May be required to be away from home for extended periods.
Directly manages and monitors project work in the field.
Promote Sevan safety culture: maintain safe, clean, and organized work environment. Ensure Sevan-s safety requirements are met, encourage proactive safety practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately.
Understands Critical Path Management (CPM) scheduling and has the ability to create and maintain a CPM schedule.
Ensure trade partner staffing levels are consistent to maintain project schedule.
Complete quality inspections of trade partners and field personnel. Maintains and active deficiency report on open quality items.
Plan, organize and host weekly foremen meetings.
Proactively communicates project related issues directly with Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
Examines construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and scopes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Reviews bid results, specifications, test and progress reports, and other project information necessary to gain complete familiarity with the project.
Confirms and verifies permitting requirements related to the project.
Coordinates with local municipalities as required for any/all inspections.
Collaborates with Project Manager on change orders and incorporates work into project schedule.
Prepares and provides daily and weekly status reports for projects utilizing Procore software.
Proactively identifies and solves or elevates project issues related to cost, schedule, safety, or qualify.
Along with the Sevan Project Manager, represents the company in project meetings.
Develops and maintains relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors to help develop new opportunities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
4-year degree in an accredited construction related program or equivalent; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated skills in on site construction management.
Experience in -at risk- projects preferred.
State/local General Contractors license is preferred
Read, analyze, and interpret construction documents.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore- project management software and MS Project scheduling software, MS Excel and Smartsheet
Strong ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the project team including management, project management, clients, client-s organization, contractors, and vendors.
