Certified Medical Assistant - North Dallas, TX
As a Medical Assistant, the employee will assist the assigned physician and perform the daily duties of running the clinic. The employee should be willing to communicate and assist patients, co-workers, and physicians as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Maintains patient flow
Interviews patient, measures vital signs and records the information
Performs tests as ordered by the physician
Prepares/assists physician with patient exam and/or procedures
Prepares patient rooms
Prepares specimens for laboratory
Administers injections and catheters using sterile technique
Cleans and restocks patient rooms, lab area and storeroom
Sterilizes instruments
Performs veni-puncture
Documents patient’s chart
Performs triage duties
Assists primary nurse with labs, etc.
Opens clinic and lab in the am
Closes clinic and labs in the pm (clean and dispose of biohazard waste)
Front office and back office experience is a plus
Performs other tasks and duties as may be added from time to time
MAINTENANCE OF SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Maintains a basic understanding of urology-related conditions, diseases and procedures.
Utilizes good communication skills during interactions with patients and co-workers.
Achieves and maintains positive working relationships and rapport with colleagues, physicians, employees, and other health care providers to ensure quality delivery and promotion of health care.
INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT
Work is performed in accordance with established procedures and by using independent judgment and discretion. The Primary CMA is expected to analyze any patient questions and/or complaints and determine proper courses of action to take.

High School Diploma or GED
Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (Active Certification)
