Parkview Health Simulation Operations Specialist in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Summary: Responsible for all operations related to healthcare simulation. Responsibilities include: technical operations (preparation, repairs, hardware and software maintenance) of virtual reality and high fidelity manikins, managing supplies, equipment, task trainers, and other simulation related activities. Responsible for the technical training related to simulation of staff and external users. Assists with the planning and implementation of all events. Staff will be cross trained to function in the debriefing role as needed. Staff will be responsible for the safe transportation of personnel and equipment.
Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent GED. Associate’s Degree in healthcare, life sciences, business, education, audio visual, communications, or computer science, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Must obtain national certification in simulation within 3 years. Either Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) or Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) are acceptable. Must have a valid driver's license.
Experience: Previous work in healthcare required. Experience in multimedia or simulation preferred. Intermediate level user expertise using Microsoft Office Suite products. Daily travel required for off-site simulations. Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
