Summary
Under the Perioperative Supervisor, assumes responsibility and accountability for assuring quality care as a health care team member within the Perioperative environment. Utilizes skills as certified athletic trainer to anticipate, plan for, and respond to the needs of the patient surgeon, and other perioperative team members. Performs activities related to the provision of evaluation and care of the orthopedic surgical patient in accordance with the overall organizational goals of promoting Parkview Health.
Education
Must have a Bachelor's Degree or a Master's Degree in Athletic Training. Master's Degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Certification as an athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification required. Licensure or eligible for licensure by the Indiana Professional Licensing Board required. Valid driver's license preferred. Must have current CPR certification.
Experience
Preferred 1 year experience in athletic training program and 1 year experience in health care setting, such as hospital or outpatient clinic.
Other Qualifications
Membership in national and state athletic training association preferred.
