Robert Half Medical Payment Poster Specialist in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Description We are in search of a Medical Payment Poster Specialist to join our team in FORT WAYNE, Indiana. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where you will be responsible for various tasks related to medical billing and data processing. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate medical billing records and ensuring the smooth running of our medical practice.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Post medical payments both electronically and manually

• Handle medical coding and payment posting for the medical practice

• Maintain precise medical billing records

• Document revenue from patient payments and insurance reimbursements

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Manage data processing tasks related to medical billing

• Oversee billing functions and claim administration

• Handle the collection processes and work as a collector when required

• Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the overall billing process. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or related field.

• Proficient in data processing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Familiarity with billing functions, including preparing, issuing, and sending out bills or invoices.

• Proven experience in claim administration, managing the process from start to finish.

• Understanding of collection processes, including tracking down unpaid invoices.

• Experience as a collector, demonstrating effective communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality and ethical standards.

• Proficiency in using relevant software and technology.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing effective solutions.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to participate in ongoing detail oriented development activities.

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification. Higher education or certifications in relevant fields would be an asset.
