Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team in Fort Wayne. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production machinery is maintained in a safe operating condition, meeting uptime requirements to assure uninterrupted production. The role includes troubleshooting and repairing machinery, conveyors, and robotics, adhering to safety guidelines, and performing various maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production machinery is maintained in a safe operating condition, meeting uptime requirements to assure uninterrupted production.

  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery, conveyors, and robotics.

  • Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Must be able to work all shifts up to 12 hours and occasional overtime.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • Electrical troubleshooting experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.

  • Experience with robotics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Own tooling.

  • Experience with battery systems.

  • Welding skills.

  • Ability to work with 3-phase electrical systems.

  • Must be okay with periodic blood tests for lead levels due to exposure to battery acid.

Work Environment

This position is based in a battery factory, which can be hot at times. The work setting is a manufacturing environment. You will initially train on the first shift for approximately 90 days (7am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday). After training, you will move to the night shift (5:45pm - 6:15am, 2-2-3 schedule).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.80 - $33.70
