Parkview Health Department of Public Safety Summer Non-Clinical Intern in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Internship opportunities with the Parkview Health Police and Public Safety Department will allow candidates a unique opportunity to experience Safety, Security, and Policing within the healthcare field. Interns will be allowed to join any and all departmental trainings that during the time of their experience and they will gain invaluable knowledge towards their further education and/or future career opportunities. This internship program provides hands on training and work experience. The perspective intern will be working in the field with officers as they provide for the overall Mission of the Department to provide and safe and secure environment of care for all coworkers, patients, and visitors at Parkview Health. We are looking for an intern that has good communication skills, a willingness to serve others, and a desire to seek a position within the criminal justice and/or security field. This position will be scheduled to work between 3-5 days per week. The shift working hours can be flexible depending on the intern’s schedule, but we request between 32-40 hours per week.
Must be current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred depending on the hosting department of internship. Specific license and/or certification may be preferred depending on the hosting department of internship. GPA of 3.0 or above Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department of internship.
