Parkview North Hospital Data Warehouse Developer II in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Summary: Independently responsible for the sourcing of data into the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Performs data warehouse design and construction. Codes and documents scripts and stored procedures. Designs and implements data strategy methods. Develops appropriate programs and systems documentation. Assists with metadata repository management. Prepares and implements data verification and testing methods for the data warehouse. Proposes solutions to team leader and manager surrounding documentation standards, efficiency, quality, reporting and/or system updates. Instrumental in growing team knowledge by developing subject matter expertise in Data Integration and by engaging in critical thinking and analysis to seek and solve problems.
Education: Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Information Services, Computer Science, or related field.
Licensure/Certification: Microsoft Developer certification a plus, but not required.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience; Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS development preferred. This experience will be from a data warehouse/Business Intelligence team creating ETL processes. Experience creating and loading dimensional database models in SQL Server. Experience implementing ETL data quality improvement processes. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have problem solving and time management skills. Must be available and accessible 24/7/365. Preferred Qualifications: Possesses a deep understanding of data warehouse design & architecture, MS SQL Server database features, and ETL tools and best practices. Understanding of EPIC healthcare data or experience with healthcare provider data captures a plus.
