U.S. Army Sustainment Command PRODUCTION CONTROLLER in Fort Wainwright, Alaska

About the Position: Serves as production controller for all assigned projects. Recommends changes to maintenance production processes and procedures concerned with the complete repair, overhaul, and modification of various items such as combat vehicles, small arms, related subassemblies, and support items, including fabrication of parts when required. Responsibilities Develops installation-level production plans and reports; executes, monitors and reports the production output from the GCSS-Army system (Global Combat Support System) of all facilities operating within the LRC operational footprint. Provides input based on historic production data to the maintenance staff, and assists in capacity determination, establishing policy and guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning production and supply management. Develops, analyzes, and synchronizes production monitoring and planning in conjunction with monitoring quality management reports with guidance from the LRC Staff. Evaluates performance based on the Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS). Specialized experience is defined as assisting in the planning of equipment maintenance such as, receiving work order requests AND calculating all materials, services, and/or production schedules. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Facility Supply Inventory Management Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
