Aegis Therapies Software Systems Analyst 2 in Fort Smith, Arkansas

GENERAL PURPOSE

Works from specifications to assist in developing and modifying operating software programming applications. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs. Applications generally deal with utility programs, position control language, macros, subroutines, and other control modules. May customize purchased applications and assist in maintaining program libraries and technical manuals.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Efficiently translates general specifications into quality code

  • Assists in code reviews utilizing structured logic development techniques

  • Assists in the support of 3rd party packages including production of custom code to interface with these packages

  • Optimizes language usage in code

  • Identifies add-on components to leverage language/tools to full potential

  • Applies other high level programming and automation techniques

  • Assists in the gathering of business data to produce detailed specifications

  • Troubleshoots existing application issues and provide resolution for complex application issues

  • Documents, analyzes and presents test results to ensure application quality

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree; five (5) years of experience in the IT field may substitute for the degree requirement

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in a computer programming position, preferred

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in Web development within a Windows environment using Microsoft's Visual Studio tool set, preferred

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in DBMS middleware coding, DBMS coding, structured query language programming, LAN basics and appropriate tools knowledge (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.), preferred

  • Experience in generating and adhering to programming standards and a willingness to participate in and support the establishment of standards for object-oriented and/or component-based development techniques (i.e. programming structure, documentation, indentation, logic, etc.)

  • Experience in SQL server, Angular (current version), C#, .Net Core, and HTML / CSS styling, preferred

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge n-tier design

  • Applies technical writing skills for designing, developing and administering usability test cases, scenarios, sessions and scripts

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Capable of providing end-user support

  • Able to assist in the preparation of presentations recommending business solutions based on current technology trends, trade publications and ongoing research as needed and preparation of project prototypes

  • Provides creative and effective solutions to application development challenges through hands-on analysis, design and programming

  • Ability to work in a multiple project environment with competing priorities

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient, employee and company proprietary information

  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with patients, families, and other employees at all levels

  • Ability to work remotely within a team structure and appropriately manage time and tasks to deliver on expectations
