United States Army Futures Command ARCHITECTURE INTEROPERABILITY SPECIALIST in Fort Sill, Oklahoma

Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for STRL for Certain Hard to Fill or Direct Support Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located in the Requirements Division, Fires Capability Development Integration Directorate, Army Futures Command w/duty at Fort Sill, OK. This position is covered by a Laboratory Personnel Demonstration Project. Responsibilities Performs a variety of senior analytical work in support of Requirements Division and top Directorate of Combat Developments management. Conducts management surveys or research and/or provides advisory services on issues of substantial scope and impact to the CDID, FCC, AFC, Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) and the FCoE. Performs, or provides senior analyst guidance on operational architecture requirements studies with AFC and TRADOC impact, and interface/interoperability requirements with other HQDA elements. Provides senior analyst guidance on functions and inter-dependencies of existing systems. Reviews, validates, and performs comparison analysis on each architectures' information requirements, develops draft recommendations on overall architecture priorities and plans based on Army needs. Central point of contact for the CDID for all Fires Operational Architecture and System Architecture matters. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes the following: Develop architecture diagrams and meta-data files depicting information exchanges, activities, and functions of a single element of a Family of Systems that does not operate on the Joint Network and is dependent upon a control node as a conduit for command and control and information exchanges; Use architecture analysis methods and techniques to provide support in determining effectiveness of current methods; and Perform information requirements studies to determine how information exchange technology can enhance mission accomplishment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE II/GS 11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
