Responsibilities

Serve as Security Manager for a 4-star Headquarters Command and Control Facility (C2F).

Manage all aspects of the command Physical Security Program.

Advise the C2F Commandant, special staff, and directorates on all matters related to the protection of facilities, equipment, and personnel.

Ensure necessary and prudent security measures are taken.

Oversee physical security aspects of planned construction/renovation.

Develop policies to achieve desired results with minimum disruption to mission requirements.

Plan and implement protective methods and procedures.

Conduct technical inspections.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting physical security surveys, vulnerability assessments, inspections or audits, and managing an integrated physical security system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

This is a Career Program (CP) 19 - Physical Security and Law Enforcement position. You may claim military spouse preference (MSP). Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. This position is not open to VEOA eligible applicants. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition.
