About the Position: The incumbent interacts with other workers in carrying out the instructions received from supervisor, maintaining a current knowledge, and answering questions from other sections on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives. Responsibilities Receives, edits and verifies a variety of maintenance requests. Assures in-shop work is performed by priority and age. Requisitions all parts. Ensures requisitions are complete, accurate, and in compliance with current regulations. Assures stock numbers, prices, sources of supply, and other data are correct. Receives status listing and uses this information in the actual control of flow of work into, within, and out of the activity. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in correcting normal production problems to meet production completion deadlines; documenting and storing material until ready for use to carry out production control assignments; AND ordering manufacturing materials to ensure timely completion of production goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
