As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

Purpose:

This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For purposes of effective range of motion, ambulation and oral motor programs for assigned clients.

Essential Duties:

Implement range of motion, ambulation and oral motor programs.

Perform clerical/organizational duties.

Complete inventory checks at each location to include mealtime adaptive equipment, oral motor equipment, physical therapy equipment and other items as assigned.

Distribute adaptive equipment to each location accordingly based on needs.

Assist PT with inspection of therapeutic equipment which may include but is not limited to wheelchairs, shower chairs, and other positioning equipment.

Monitor and assist with mealtimes at each location as per schedule established. Monitor in-service records for individuals who are high risk for aspiration during mealtimes to ensure that all staff have received the required amount of training.

Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols when working directly with the clients.

Will assist with Transportation of all clients to and from the hospital, appointments and the Community Center as needed.

Required Qualification:

Associates degree preferred or minimum 2 years of experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

6 months experience preferred working with Intellectual/Developmental Disability populations.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$19.50 per hour

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent bending and standing

  • Ability to stretch, push pull, kneel, reach, twist, walk

  • Ability to lift unassisted a least thirty five (35) lbs.
