We have an immediate need for a (Direct) Category Manager to support our Automotive business. This is a remote position and candidates should be located in the state of Florida.
Responsibilities & Duties include:
Develop and implement a comprehensive automotive category management strategy
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and pricing, and maintain relationships with key vendors
Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends, competitors, and new products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and preferences, and ensure that the automotive category meets those requirements
Monitor and analyze sales data, inventory levels, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions for the category
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and operations teams, to align category goals and strategies
Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency measures for the automotive category
Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to the automotive category
Oversee the development and execution of marketing and promotional strategies for the automotive category
Lead and mentor a team of category specialists to ensure the successful execution of category management strategies
Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures related to the sourcing and purchasing of automotive products
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
Minimum of 5 Years Experience in (Direct) Category Management
Strong Understanding of Market Trends and Competitive Industry Landscape
Excellent Negotiation and Communication Skills.
Experience Managing a Team and Developing Strategic Plans For Product Assortment, Pricing, and Promotional Strategies.

Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
