Morgan Community College Director of Nursing Education in Fort Morgan, Colorado

POSITION: Director of Nursing Education

NATURE OF POSITION: Full-Time Faculty Contract (207 days) 1.22 FTE

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: The position of Director of Nursing Education reports directly to the Dean of Health Sciences.

PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Director of Nursing Education manages the nursing programs in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of Morgan Community College. This position has the authority and responsibility for the management of the Associate of Applied Science and Baccalaureate of Nursing Programs. Release time from teaching responsibilities is granted for administrative duties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university. Current unencumbered registered nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state. Minimum of three (3) years full-time teaching experience in a professional nursing program. Experience in leadership or supervision. Demonstrated success in working with diverse student populations. Minimum of three (3) years recent experience in professional nursing practice. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctorate degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Leadership or administrative experience in a nursing program. Experience working in distance education. Experience with budget management.

Anticipated Start Date: December 1, 2024

Salary and Benefits:

$88,935 - $94,823 annually, based on education, skills and experience. Benefits include health, life, dental insurance, vision, LTD & benefit package in accordance with Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System policies. No relocation assistance is provided.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their qualifications as related to the duties and responsibilities of the position. Final candidates will be invited to travel to the College, at their own expense, to interview with the Screening Committee and college officials.

Employer is located on I-76, 80 miles northeast of Denver and approximately 100 miles east of Rocky Mountain National Park.. Employer provides high quality lower division transferable courses and occupational education culminating in a variety of certificate, associate, and baccalaureate degree programs through traditional, innovative, and non-traditional delivery methods to an 11,500 square mile service area in eastern Colorado.

The College serves this vast, rural, agricultural area from its main campus in Fort Morgan and through four regional locations in Bennett, Limon, Burlington and Wray. These locations are 75 to 150 miles from the campus in Fort Morgan.
