Army Installation Management Command Lead Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard) NF-02 in Fort Moore, Georgia

Responsibilities Serves as the a lead lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools and works under the direction of the Installation Aquatics Program Manager. Performs lifeguarding duties and limited management functions. Ensures the safe operation of the pool, filtration system, water balance, pool chemistry and performs water test. Responsible for pool patrons safety/health in attendance at the assigned aquatics facility. Provides maximum surveillance of pool area and rescues swimmers and administers first aid as required. Attends aquatics and/or safety training as directed. Adheres to the Customer Service standards of the Installation. Keeps accurate records/reports and adequate supplies. Leads the work of other employees. Passes on to other workers instructions received from the supervisor and starts work. Distributes and balances work- load assuring that each employee has enough work to keep busy. Minimum Qualifications: Possesses and maintains the following certifications: Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS); American Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional; CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED and First Aid); For Water Parks upgrade the certification to: (Waterpark Lifeguarding and First Aid; CPR/PR/AED) (American Red Cross) Maintains certifications current by recertifying with the American Red Cross Lifeguarding and 1st Aid, CPR/PR/AED program before the certifications expiration date. Possesses one or more Instructor rating (see below): American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor(LGTI) authorization; OR American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor(WSI) authorization; OR Aquatic Exercise Association Instructor authorization(AEA); OR Adapted Aquatic Instructor authorization. In addition, for facilities that use Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the O2 Administration certification (American Red Cross "Oxygen Administration"); OR Installation offered training (i.e. Fire Dept.) must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
