A global chemical supplier manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team on 1 st Shift . This is a great opportunity to work with a team that takes pride in providing cost-effective and responsive service to their clients!
Pay: $22/hr-$24/hr
Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm
Location: Fort Mill, SC
Essential Functions
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
Experience troubleshooting, repairing and rebuilding pumps and valves (specific experience with mechanical seals, lip seals, packing, bearings, gaskets, couplings and alignment of pumps to motors).
Experience with piping systems including flanged, threaded pipe, welding, stainless and carbon steel.
Installing and maintaining pipe supports, installing and maintaining heat tracing (steam) and insulation.
Utilization of chain falls, chokers, hoists, come-a-long’s and various equipment moving devices is required.
Experience with preventative maintenance including oiling and greasing pumps and motors as well as experience with gearboxes.
Be able to wear required PPE including but not limited to respirator, protective gloves, footwear, suits, hearing protection, head protection, eye, and face protection.
Required Education and Experience
Associates Degree preferred.
Experience with mechanical repairs, maintaining and rebuilding pumps, valves, pipe fitting, welding replacing seals, packing, preventative maintenance, oiling and greasing
