ManTech Senior Systems Engineer in Fort Meade, Maryland

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in the Fort Meade, Maryland area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Focuses on DoD 5000.02 artifacts and documentation to perform requirements analysis, including decomposition of high-level requirements into artifacts assignable during Agile program increments and sprints

  • Apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems lifecycle phases: concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement

  • Interact with project teams regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts

  • Communicate with other Technical Direction Plan (TDL) project personnel, Government stakeholders, and senior executives

  • Responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, to include: Technical Process Area, Enterprise Process Area, and Agreement Process Area

  • Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation, such as Systems Engineering Plans, initial capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT, Business, Engineering, Math, Science, or related field

  • Five or more (5+) years of related experience

  • If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required

  • If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in STEM or related discipline

  • Relevant industry standard certifications such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) or OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional–Advanced (OCSMP-A) certifications

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies

Clearance Requirements:

  • This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
