United States Fleet Forces Command LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in Fort Meade, Maryland
Summary You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist responsible for planning, integrating, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions required to support the Navy Cyber Warfare Development Group. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Responsibilities You will plan and coordinate the day-to-day acquisition logistics activities/functions for assigned program, including the total logistics life-cycle. You will identify novel methodologies to enable logistical support for operations and ensure that efforts are coordinated and integrated with other programs to resolve possible areas of conflict and/or redundancy. You will utilize the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) process to assure the most effective and economical means are considered and planned for during all stages of life cycle logistics support. You will plan and project equipment requirements. You will provide technical advice and guidance on procurement. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Plans and coordinates the day-to-day acquisition logistics activities/functions for assigned program, including the total logistics life-cycle; 2. Uses advanced knowledge of acquisition processes, logistics processes, disposal processes, property administrative procedures, regulations, directives, security and training instructions, and correspondence procedures in order to formulate and implement policy on administrative functions; 3. Utilizes the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) process to assure the most effective and economical means are considered and planned for during all stages of life cycle logistics support; 4. Provides technical advice and guidance on procurement.
