HII-Mission Technologies Cyber and Engineering group is seeking a skilled candidate to join our team in Hanover, MD. As an Application Developer, you will work alongside a team of experts developing applications in C# and Java, or with Java Script and/or AngularJS, in Unix, Linux, or Windows environments.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Python or Perl, knowledge of common protocols such as TCP/IP, SDH/SONET, and Ethernet, knowledge of XML, php, mysql, ColdFusion or Apache, and experience with reverse engineering and analysis of software.

What you will do

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions

  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment Designers and/or hardware Engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software

  • Determines computer user needs

  • Analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls

  • Prepares operating instructions

  • Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems

  • Ensures software standards are met

What we are looking for

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience

  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly

Bonus points for...

  • Experience with C# and Java development, or experience with Java Script and/or AngularJS, in Unix, Linux, or Windows environments

  • Experience with Python or Perl

  • Experience with TCP/IP protocol experience

  • Understanding and knowledge of the customer and their mission

  • Knowledge of common protocols such as TCP/IP, SDH/SONET, Ethernet

  • Web development with knowledge of XML, php, mysql, ColdFusion, or Apache

  • Experience with reverse engineering and analysis of software

  • Ability to recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of development alternatives

  • Design and conduct unit tests to enhance code coverage requirements

  • Support user development documentation

  • RTOS experience

  • Kernel knowledge of Unix (Solaris, HPUX, AIX) and Linux
