Role Definition
This position is responsible for managing key Garment Manufacturers and driving overall strategy in the NA Military Thermal segment, as well as managing and growing business and relationship with our NA mill channel customers. Revenue $85MM/year.
The Military Thermal and Mill Channel Manager will promote the sale of Nomex® and Kevlar® solutions in the military segment as well as through our largest personal protection customers.
The Military Thermal and Mill Channel Manager will execute mid & long-term growth strategy. In addition, they will collaborate with the regional marketing manager to develop a cohesive Sales Channel strategy.
The Military Thermal and Mill Channel Manager will collaborate with a global team as decision making, production and end user sales with many customers is global in these segments.
Reports directly to North America Personal Protection Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
Lead execution of fabric mill channel strategy for Personal Protection markets.
Develop in partnership with our marketing teams) strategy for fabric mill channel strategy for Personal Protection markets.
Develop and lead execution/coordination of the key account strategies including corporate level, global and field contact strategies (both military garment manufacturers and NA mills).
Manage all aspects of transactional relationships with direct customers including supply commitments, price, quality to position us as preferred supplier. Partner with key resources to accomplish this e.g. Technical Service, Customer Service, Credit, Supply Chain
Negotiate contracts, price changes, sales agreements & other programs consistent with our segment and channel strategy.
Facilitate key relationships between all levels of DuPont and customer according to segmentation. Includes product development, joint marketing, channel and end-use sales coordination for our respective sales teams.
Track, influence and drive key Military programs.
Participates in military trade associations, trade shows, and conferences to influence/track key military budgets, forecasts, trends, standards, and future direction.
Facilitate key relationships between all levels of DuPont and customer according to segmentation. Includes product development, joint marketing, channel and end-use sales coordination for our respective sales teams.
Quickly communicates information across organization and maintains all key account information and activities in SFDC (account plan, opportunity pipeline, call reports).
Provide routine feedback to the internal organization on market trends, competition and key customer wins, losses & areas of risk.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Approximately 15-20% travel (can be home office based)
Preferences:
3+ year experienced sales professional preferred.
Experience managing multiple channel accounts preferred.
Experience negotiating contracts/agreements.
Technical knowledge of DuPont™ Nomex® and or Kevlar® protective apparel related products.
Experience with personal protective equipment / safety category / military thermal protection needs.
Experience with industry partners.

The Pay range for this role is $118,370.00 - $186,010.00 Annual

Each role has an associated pay range (or an established pay rate for some roles) based on the competitive market in each country where we operate.
