U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Operations Support Assistant (OA) in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

Summary About the Position: This Announcement will be used to fill multiple vacancies within multiple Fort Leonard Wood Schoolhouses identified during the interview. This is a TERM position NTE 2 years. This position is a Temporary Promotion that can be extended up to a maximum of five years. May be made permanent without further competition. Responsibilities Prepare daily and monthly status reports and feeder information to be provided as input to the battalion Level. Ensure training schedules are fully utilized, shortfalls are identified and rectified, logistical support has been arranged. Assist the Company Commander by maintaining administrative personnel records of permanent party members and trainees, maintaining forms and publications, conducting in processing of permanent party members, maintaining records, etc. Prepare daily and monthly status reports and feeder information for input to the Battalion Operations Point of Contact. Use a government vehicle for distribution or supply runs as needed. Prepare and manage operational tracking reports and updates using commercial and military automated systems requiring the services of a qualified typist. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes implementing administrative policies and procedures; maintaining forms and publications, training management, travel, personnel actions; and coordinating administrative procedural functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Qualified Typist Requirement: In addition to meeting the experience requirements, for all positions titled as Office Automation or any clerical positions which has parenthetical title of Office Automation (OA), applicants must have typing proficiency of 40 words per minute(wpm).
