We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care skills. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients across various settings, ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery. Your expertise in specialized areas such as infant care, critical care, and emergency response will be invaluable in providing comprehensive care to our diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
-Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments of patients.
-Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses.
-Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal fillers.
-Provide care for patients with disabilities, ensuring their specific needs are met.
-Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
-Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
-Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options.
-Utilize sonography techniques when necessary to assist in diagnostics.
-Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
-Respond effectively in emergency situations within the ER or critical care settings.
Requirements
-Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited program.
-Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
-Strong clinical skills with experience in infant care, critical care, ER settings, or working with patients with disabilities preferred.
-Proficiency in performing procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal fillers is highly desirable.
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
-Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
-Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.
Qualifications:
-Education: Must possess a Master’s Degree in Nursing and have graduated from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
-Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (5.2.3): Possess and maintain at all times, at contractor expense, current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Heart Association. Recertification shall be maintained at contractor expense in a current status at all times. Any lapse in certification will cause immediate removal of the HCW until the certification is obtained and verified by the contractor.
-Experience: Must have a minimum of two year’s full-time experience as a hands-on practicing full scope Nurse Practitioner in the last three years.
-Board Certification (5.2.6.4.4): The HCW shall have and maintain certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Shall possess a Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD) number as required by state agencies where the HCW is licensed.
Work Schedule:
6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Shifts may be 8-10 hours in length and 4-5 days per week for a total of 40 hours per week. Workdays may or may not be consecutive.
