We are seeking an experienced internal communications manager to join our team. This is a hybrid/in office position based in our Fort Lauderdale office. As Senior Manager, Internal Communications Specialist, Studio Operations you’ll be responsible for responsible for managing internal communications campaigns that engage key audiences on Princess’s brand narrative and promise, operational business, and priority core value and culture initiatives. As part of the communications team, you’ll be charged with developing and implementing an internal communications strategy that drives increased awareness and clarity around organizational news, goals, and priorities, and articulates and promotes our culture, mission, and values to our employees. The successful candidate for this position is equally a strategist and tactician, at ease developing communications strategy and rolling up their sleeves to implement communications programs. Additionally, this candidate is an excellent writer and storyteller, and can quickly develop effective, executive-ready content and act as a counselor and trusted communication advisor to the leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures company’s shared purpose/mission, culture essentials/core values, and business goals are represented in internal-facing communications and design deliverables. Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of current corporate communication strategies and programs. Develops and implements communication policy, procedures, practices, and technologies to increase efficiencies and effectiveness. Stays abreast of changing trends.

  • Review high-stakes internal communications developed by others to ensure brand consistency, tone, and transparency, including copy-editing with a high attention to detail to ensure clarity, conciseness, and effectiveness. Ensure internal communications are coordinated, and are designed to inspire, support, and engage constituents and provide positive, proactive, and trusted counsel to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to craft written and oral messaging, including scripts, presentations, video, speaking points, memos, and social content in their voice and/or the voice of the brand.

  • Develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive internal communications program by creating innovative and comprehensive communications strategies. Owns tactical delivery of communication materials for internal and other audience groups.

  • Design and execute innovative and audience-centric ways to deliver engaging content through a mix of internal communications channels (i.e., leadership memos, videos, articles, infographics, and events) and apply measurement to demonstrate the impact of the programming.

  • Liaises with partner teams across the organization (HR, IT) to design and enhance a variety of communications work products for distribution across internal channels. Partner with parent and sister companies to ensure timely and successful translation of messages to the brand teams, as well as manage shared channels (ex: intranet, email distribution). Collaborates with subject matter experts to understand and translate information into easy-to-understand, actionable and compelling content that resonates with employees

  • Supports employee engagement events as required, including annual holiday party, brand town halls, ship inaugurals, partnerships, and other major company moments.

  • Effectively manage resources, including temps, contractors, vendors, agencies, or other as assigned, to deliver outstanding results.

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic internal communications plans.

  • Develop regular cadence of internal employee communications.

  • Partner with other communications colleagues to develop and maintain a robust central repository of talking points, fact sheets, case studies, and key data.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Communications or other related field, Masters Degree highly preferred.

  • 10+ years progressive experience in corporate communications (with 5 years focused on internal communications preferred).

  • Experience leading by influence in a complex organization.

  • Experience leading a team.

  • Highly proficient in CMS, Microsoft Office 365, and emerging communications technologies.

  • A confident and creative world-class communicator. Expert in crafting all forms of communication including spoken, written, video, event, social, and web.

  • A concise and compelling writer.

  • Ability to select and assertively communicate actions and activities that maximize organization performance. Understanding of the need to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward.

  • Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics. Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of resources to achieve project objectives.

  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize the means, tools, techniques, and channels to communicate information about the organization to all relevant audiences.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • High emotional intelligence and resilience, confidence and ease working with executive team.

  • Self-starter, able to determine priorities and maintain excellent follow through.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

This is a hybrid/in office position, based in our Fort Lauderdale office.

  • Base Salary Range: $110,200-$148,800. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base pay is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
